Core Values

Unconditional Love – God loves each of one of us unconditionally and that is how we are to love each other. (Mark 1:40-45)

Contemporary Worship – The most important thing in worship, is to worship God from our innermost being (spirit). We use songs and instruments we can relate to. (John 4:23)

Practical and clear Bible teaching – The Bible is taught in ways we can understand and apply to our lives. (2 Timothy 3:16)

Informal setting – T-shirts, shorts and slippers are OK. God looks on our hearts not our clothes. (1 Samuel 16:7)

Small Group discipleship – We encourage everyone to meet in a small group (Ho’o Lokahi) to develop honest accountability and exercise their spiritual gifts to help others. (Mark 3:14, 1 Corinthians 12-14)

Godly families – We build Godly families both traditional and hanai (adopted). (Psalm 68:6)

Balanced theology – We avoid the extremes of license to sin and/or controling others through legalism. (Romans 6:1-2, Galatians 3:1-5)

Witnessing – We share the good news of Jesus Christ through the way we live and talk. We use whatever means are available including the Hawaiian culture (language and hula). (2 Corinthians 4:2)

Progressive excellence – We always try to do our best and continually improve whatever we do for God’s glory.
(Colossians 3:17, Colossians 3:23)
