Listen to Sermon[MP3, 14MB]

Pastor Dennis Sallas, March 16th, 2014

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.  (Colossians 3:12-14)

We are all chosen (Deuteronomy 7:6) (Ephesians 1:3-4)

But you are a chosen people a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.  (1 Peter 2:9)

Put on your new clothes (Romans 13:14) (2 Corinthians 5:17)

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds, and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.  (Ephesians 4:22-24)

Put on love (1Corinthians 13:1-3) (1 John 4:8, 16)

Jesus replied:  “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it:  Love your neighbor as yourself.”  (Matthew 22:37-39)
