Listen to sermon[MP3, 16MB]

Pastor Dennis Sallis, November 10, 2013

At that time I will search Jerusalem with lamps and punish those who are complacent, who are like wine left on its dregs, who think, The LORD will do nothing either good or bad.  (Zephaniah 1:12)

Identify what is keeping you where you are (Galatians 5:7) (Matthew 19:16-22)

For the waywardness of the simple will kill them, and the complacency of fools will destroy them;  (Proverbs 1:32)

Do not be satisfied the way things are (Matthew 5:6) (Deuteronomy 6:10-12) (Revelation 3:17)

Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.  (Romans 12:11)

Do not be lukewarm (Zephaniah 1:4-5) (2 Timothy 4:9)

These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation.  I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot.  I wish you were either one or the other!  So, because you are lukewarm neither hot nor cold I am about to spit you out of my mouth.  (vs 20) Here I am I stand at the door and knock.  If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him and he with me.  (Revelation 3:14-16, 20)
