Home Run! September Newsletter

Family Day was a big hit after church we all got together to fellowship, eat and play baseball.  If you weren’t playing you were cheering others on it didn’t matter who was at bat or catching those fly balls it was all about fun and family.  Laughing and just enjoying each other is what this day was about! 1 Corinthians 12:14 – For in fact the body is not one member but many. I asked for some to share their blessing of the day.

Christina:  Family Day was so much fun!! Although I didn’t play it was great to fellowship meet new people and just have fun. Mahalo for a wonderful day!

Angie:  Family day picnic was so enjoyable as the church gathered at the park for fellowship, fun and food. God loves us so much and uses times like this to express love for one another.

Toni:  Sweet –refreshing great time of getting to know my brothers and sisters.  A delightful day!!

Lehua: Family day was exciting day for me. I am always blessed when our church family gets together.  Enjoying the fellowship and feeling the Holy Spirit move within all of us is unexplainable. Good food, atmosphere and the softball game was the best. Coming together as family is one of life’s greatest pleasures, thank you Jesus for joining us and giving a beautiful day. Thank you Pastor for all you do in Jesus name. Aloha Ke Akua.

Dorothy:  September 25with a gentle trade wind. A large tree provided shade for us to gather under. The Park’s commanding position high on a hill in Kaimuki gave us a panoramic view of the ocean and the city. These peaceful surroundings provided us with the perfect opportunity to share a meal, talk story, and join in a softball game either by playing or cheering at the sidelines. The day provided a wonderful opportunity to strengthen friendships and make new friends. The day provided added dimension to Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”Sometimes, we need to fellowship outside of church.

Thank You all for you for sharing your feelings from that day. I read a saying in our Daily Bread that fits so well with all you have shared “Christians stand strong when they stand together”
