WHEN GOD SPEAKS

The Word of the LORD came to me:  “Son of man, with one blow I am about to take away from you the delight of your eyes.  Yet do not lament or weep or shed any tears.  Groan quietly; do not mourn for the dead.  Keep your turban fastened and your sandals on your feet; do not cover the lower part of your face or eat the customary food of mourners.  So I spoke to the people in the morning, and in the evening my wife died.  The next morning I did as I had been commanded.  (Ezekiel 24:15-17)

Pay attention (Deuteronomy 4:9)

The LORD said to Job:  “Will the one who contends with the Almighty correct him?  Let him who accuses God answer him!”  (Job 40:1-2)

Be ready for anything (Isaiah 55:8)

He replied, “You are talking like a foolish woman.  Shall we accept good from God and not trouble?”  (Job 2:9)

Speak if He wants you to speak (Ezekiel 3:10-11, 33:7-9)

For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.  (John 12:49)

KNOW THAT YOU KNOW THAT YOU KNOW
