A time to move on

Listen to Sermon [MP3, 16MB]
The LORD our God said to us at Horeb, “You have stayed long enough at this mountain.  Break camp and advance into the hill country of the Amorites; go to all the neighboring peoples in the Arabah, in the mountains, in the western foothills, in the Negev and along the coast, to the land of the Canaanites and to Lebanon, as far as the great river, the Euphrates.  See, I have given you this land.  Go in and take possession of the land the the LORD swore he would give to your fathers to Abraham, Issac and Jacob and their descendants after them.  (Deuteronomy 1:6-8)

Don’t be passive take action  (Deuteronomy 7:22)

Therefore, prepare your minds for action, be self controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.  (1 Peter 1:13)

Break away from what is keeping you from moving forward (Deuteronomy 12:2-3)

but I gave them this command:  Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people.  Walk in all the ways I command you, that it may go well with you.  But they did not listen or pay attention;  instead, they follwed the stubborn inclinations of their evil hearts.  They went backward and not forward.  (Jeremiah 7:23-24)

Take back what God has given you  (John 5:24)

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.  (1 Peter 5:10)
