The Lord Is Calling You

Listen to Sermon [MP3, 16.4 MB]

The LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the Tent of Meeting.  He said, speak to the Israelites and say to them:  when any of you brings an offering to the LORD, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.  If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he is to offer a male without defect.  He must present it at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting so that it will be acceptable to the LORD.  He is to lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him……He is to wash the inner parts and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar.  It is a burnt offering an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.  (Leviticus  1:1-4, 9)

Approach (Romans 12:1) (Ephesians 3:12)

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.  (John 14:6)

Relationship (Psalms 51:17) (John 10:3-4)

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.  Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.  (2Peter 9-10)

Worship (Micah 6:8)(Colossians 3:1-3)

Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise the fruit of lips that confess his name.  And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.  (Hebrews 13:15-16)
