Listen to sermon [MP3 15.5 MB]

Barnabas wanted to take John, also called Mark, with them, but Paul did not think it wise to take him, because he had deserted them in Pamphylia and hand not continued with them in the work.  They had such a sharp disagreement that they parted company.  Barnabas took Mark and sailed for Cyprus, but Paul chose Silas and left, commended by the brothers to the grace of the Lord.  (Acts 15:37-40)

Always be willing to give someone a second chance.  (2 Corinthians 2:6-8)

Only Luke is with me,  Get Mark and bring him with you, because he is helpful to me in my ministry.  (2 Timothy 4:11)

Don’t measure others by your standards and goals.  (2 Corinthians 10:12-13)

“Do not judge, or you too will be judged.  For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.  (Matthew 7:1-2)

When you look for the best in others you will usually find it.  (2 Corinthians 4:7)

And he brought him to Jesus.  Jesus looked at him and said,  “You are Simon son of John.  You will be called Cephas”  (which, when translated, it Peter)  (John 1:42)
