Date: August 26, 2012

Speaker: Pastor Dennis Sallas

So Joseph also went up from the town of Nazareth in Galilee in Judea, in Bethlehem the town of David, because he belonged to the house and line of David.  He went there to register with Mary, who was pledged to be married to him and was expecting a child.  While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son.  She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.  (Luke 2:4-7)

Jesus works within the messy things of our lives.  (Colossians 3:5-10)

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection…  (Philippians 3:10)

God wants to show himself in the midst of our messes of life.  (Mark 16:9-14)

Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life, you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.  (Psalms 138:7)

Jesus wants to clean you and use you.  (Isaiah 6:8)

I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service. Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief.  (1 Timothy 1:12-13)
