Listen To Sermon [MP3, 16.1 MB]

Date: December 11, 2011

Speaker: Pastor Dennis Sallas

Psalms 1
1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.
3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers.
4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away.
5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.
6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.

We need to turn to God and His Word. (Ephesians 4:17)
Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the LORD, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon. (Isaiah 55:7) (Isaiah 44:22) (John 5:24) (Matthew 7:21-23)

We need to endure. (Romans 15:4) (Hebrews 4:12)
For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God. (1 Peter 1:23,25)

We need to teach the good news. (Mark 16:15)
“The time has come,” he said, “The kingdom of God is near, Repent and believe” the good news! (Mark 1:15) (Acts 5:42)
