Sermon – When Under Attack From The Enemy

Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner. He said “For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD. The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation.” (Exodus 17:15-16)

We are called to pray and fight. (James 5:13) (Luke 9:3, Luke 22:35-36)

The horse is made ready for the day of battle but victory rests with the LORD. (Proverbs 21:31)

Pray persistently. (1 Thessalonians 5:17) (2 Chronicles 20:2-4)

Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. (Luke 18:1)

Praise God and give Him all the glory. (Deuteronomy 20:2-4) (Psalms 150:6)

I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies… (Psalms 18:1-3)
