Jesus Is Feeding The Hungry

Aloha Kakou,

On November 21, we at HCW and many volunteers fed those that were hungry food, fellowship, and fun. We had turkey with all the dressings, desserts, as well as music that was provided by the Waikiki Sunset Serenaders.

This year we ushered guests to their seats and brought the thanksgiving meal to them. What a wonderful and delightful experience for those who were being served and for those who were serving.

We met many new faces. One of them was a women who visits the Waikiki Community Center daily. She shared about having to go to the hospital in a few days to get a stent for her heart. She even called her son to be by her bedside in case she didn’t pull through. I asked if I could pray for her and she accepted. We asked our LORD JESUS if He would heal her and that she wouldn’t need a stent; and that if it wasn’t in His will, that He would send her the best qualified doctors and that He would bring comfort to her.

I saw her the next day. She was looking a little down and I encouraged her about what we prayed about. The next time I saw her, she was glowing and smiling from ear to ear. “They didn’t have to do it,” She yelled out, “they didn’t have to do it. I didn’t need the stent after all. There is nothing wrong with my heart.”

I said, “PRAISE GOD thank you Jesus! Remember what Jesus has done for you and I hope to see you at church one of these days.”

“Go back and report to John what you have seen and heard: The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is preached to the poor.” Luke 7:22

Jesus is still healing and feeding the hungry.

Na Pomaika’i (blessings),
Pastor Dennis Sallas
