Sermon – Who Knows What God Will Do?

Date: January 10, 2010

Speaker: Pastor Dennis Sallas

Perhaps you will be sheltered on the day of the LORD’S anger.  (Zephaniah 2:3)

God is always ready to extend His mercy and compassion.  (Zephaniah 2:1)

Who knows?  God may yet relent and with compassion turn from his fierce anger so that we will not perish.  (Jonah 3:9-10) (Matthew 12:40) (2 Peter 3:9)

God will accept you and receive you.  (Zephaniah 2:2)

Who knows?  The LORD may be gracious to me and let the child live.  (2 Samuel 12:22)  (Luke 11:29-30)

He will be your shelter.  (Zephaniah 2:3)

He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  (Psalms 91:1)

God’s Shelter:

A.  Seek the LORD.  (Isaiah 55:6)

B.  Seek His Righteousness.  (Matthew 6:33)

C.  Seek Humility.  (Hebrews 12:1)
