Title: Thanksgiving

Date: November 22, 2009

Speaker: Pastor Dennis Sallas

“Gather the pieces that are left over.  Let nothing be wasted.”  (John 6:12)

How should we respond to people?

“When Jesus looked up and saw a great crowd coming toward Him, He said to Philip, “Where shall we buy bread for these people to eat?”  (John 6:5,7)

Don’t overlook people’s needs.
Philip thought in the natural.
Andrew thought in the supernatural but acted on the natural.

How should we view our challenges?

“He asked this only to test him, for He already had in mind what He was going to do”  (John 6:6)

Jesus thought and acted on the supernatural. (Spirit)

Believe God can do the impossible

What spirit releases our potential?

Jesus then took the loaves, gave thanks, and distributed to those who were seated as much as they wanted.  He did the same with the fish  (John 6:11)

Release the Spirit of THANKSGIVING

What should we remember about life’s leftovers?

“When they all had enough to eat, He said to His disciples, ‘Gather the pieces that are left over.  Let nothing be wasted”  (John 6:12)

Refuse to waste your blessings.
