Title: When Cornered

Date: January 25, 2009

Speaker: Pastor Dennis Sallas

The Egyptians-all Pharaoh’s horses and chariots, horsemen and troops-pursued the Israelites and overtook them as they camped by the sea near Pi Hahiroth, opposite Baal Zephon. (Exodus 14:9, Matthew 6:34)

Do not be afraid.  (Exodus 14:13)

The LORD is my light and my salvation-whom shall I fear?  (Psalms 27:1, Psalms 121:2,7)

Stand firm.  (Exodus 14:13)

When the storm has swept by, the wicked are gone but the righteous stand firm forever.  (Proverbs 10:25, Isaiah 7:9, Exodus 3:12)

He will deliver you.  (Exodus 14:13)

Rather worship the LORD your God;  it is he who will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.” (2Kings 17:39, Deuteronomy 23:14)

God will fight for you.  (Exodus 14:14)

For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.  (Deuteronomy 20:4, Jeremiah 1:19)

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.  Each day has enough trouble of its own.  (Matthew 6:34)
